What is Laser Hair Removal?
A beam of light targets hair follicles beneath the surface of the skin
to disable the hairs and stop them from coming back.
What Laser Do We Use?
We use the GentleLASE, made by Candela, the global leaders in the
manufacture of Laser Hair Removal Equipment. We have invested
heavily in the best equipment to deliver only the best results for our
clients.
Who Will The GentleLASE Work On?
The GentleLASE is an Alexandrite laser. It is the GOLD standard of
Hair Removal for paler skin types. It works best well on darker hair
types, the darker the hairs the better! No Laser will work on white,
grey or pale blonde hairs as there is insufficient colour pigment in the
hairs. For these hair types electrolysis is the only long term option.
Is Laser Hair Removal Permanent?
No one can claim that Laser Hair Removal is permanent (for the rest
of your life!) It will significantly reduce the number of hairs growing,
in as little as 4 treatments, the average being 6, and the results will
last for a long time (for years!)
Consultation, Test Patch & Treatment
If you are interested in reducing unwanted hair, please book an
appointment with one of our GentleLASE Technicians. Your technician
will discuss with you the treatment procedure and results expected.
They will then do a full consultation with you, to go over your medical
history and assess your suitability for treatment. If everything is in
order they will then get your consent, to a test patch being carried out
on the area to be treated. This is to see how your skin reacts to the
laser before we carry out a full treatment on you.
How Often Will I Need To Come?
You will need to have your treatments done regularly. We recommend
every 4 weeks for facial hair and every 6 weeks for body hair. You will
need to have at least 4 treatments, on average 6 and maybe more if
you have an underlying hormonal problem. Results can then be
maintained as and when required, everyone is different.
Treatment Notes
Electrolysis, waxing and plucking must be discontinued 6 weeks before
treatment and the hairs must be shaved the day before treatment. No
suntan or fake tan can be present on the skin.
We are unable to treat pregnant or breastfeeding women.
